Ye shall know the TRUTH
and the truth shall make you FREE

John 8:32.

Jesus Christ is the Truth incarnate. Jesus said, "I AM the way, the TRUTH, and the life" (Jn. 14:6). "The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and TRUTH" (Jn. 1:14).

Truth characterises Christ's mission, His purpose for coming into the world. Indeed it was to save us; to save us from sin; to save us from every effect of the fall! Amen. But it was also to deliver us from error and bring us into truth. "God our Saviour, who will have all men to be saved, AND to come unto the knowledge of the TRUTH" (1 Tim. 2:4). "For the law was given by Moses, but grace and TRUTH came by Jesus Christ" (Jn. 1:17). Jesus said, "To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the TRUTH. Every one that is of the TRUTH heareth my voice" (Jn18:37). "Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the TRUTH of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers, and that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy" (Rom. 15:8).

His TRUTH is LIBERATING, as he stated in our keynote scripture. Notice also how in Jn. 1:17 TRUTH is joined with GRACE and presented as an advance beyond the LAW: "The LAW was given by Moses, but GRACE AND TRUTH came by Jesus Christ." Millions today quote that "we are not under law but under grace." Amen. The Word of God also shows us that His New Testament TRUTH, when we come to a knowledge of it, is not going to be characterised by the old traits of the LAW, nor engender the same effects within us (which Paul calls "bondage," and both Peter AND Paul called the "yoke" of bondage, Acts 15:10, Gal. 4:9, 4:24, 5:1), but will be according to GRACE. "The TRUTH shall make you FREE," not only from sin (which is certainly first), and as men have phrased it, "the world, the flesh and the devil," but also from LEGALISM, and every form of RELIGIOUS bondage and religious error.

The things shared in this website are written in the spirit of "speaking the TRUTH in LOVE" (Eph. 4:15) for the edifying of the body of Christ, and in confidence that knowledge of God's truth has the power to make men free.
